Coconut Oil Virgin

High smoke point for searing and sautéing plus solid texture for flaky pastries makes this your tropical kitchen staple.

What it is

Virgin coconut oil is extracted from fresh coconut meat without chemical processing or high heat, preserving its natural coconut aroma and flavor. Unlike refined coconut oil, it retains the tropical taste and scent of coconuts.

How to use

Use for sautéing vegetables, roasting, or baking as a butter substitute. It's solid at room temperature but melts quickly when heated. Great for medium-heat cooking up to about 350°F.

Flavor and texture

Has a pleasant, mild coconut flavor and aroma. Solid and creamy white at cool temperatures, it melts into a clear, light oil when warmed.

Best uses

Perfect for tropical-inspired dishes, baking cookies and muffins, making granola, sautéing vegetables, or adding to smoothies. Also popular for popcorn and stir-fries.

Storage & freshness

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry pantry away from heat sources.

Sealed (pantry)18-24 monthsif kept airtight and cool
Refrigerated3-4 yearswill solidify but maintains quality longer

Durations are for best quality. Safe to consume longer if no spoilage signs present.

Melts at 76°F and solidifies when cool — this is normal and does not affect quality.

Cooking tip

Gently warm the jar in your hands or place it in warm water to soften before measuring - this makes it much easier to scoop and measure accurately.

Interesting note

Coconut oil is one of the few plant-based oils that's solid at room temperature, thanks to its high concentration of saturated fats - the same property that makes it shelf-stable for months.
